An ambient cooling system is a cost-effective alternative to recirculating chillers for applications where precise temperature control and cooling below ambient temperature are not required. An ambient cooling system consists of a high performance heat exchanger integrated with a fan, pump, and tank in a durable metal chassis. Ambient cooling systems can be customized in numerous ways to meet challenging thermal and mechanical requirements.

Compact and Cost-Effective Modular Cooling System A customer needed a tightly packaged modular cooling system to integrate inside their system. Lytron’s engineers selected a high-efficiency OEM Coil heat exchanger, a long-life centrifugal pump, and a compact reservoir for the unit in order to meet the customer’s size specifications. The result was a very compact and cost-effective cooling system.

Ambient Cooling System for Medical Equipment This custom modular cooling system has a custom aluminum flat tube heat exchanger, a custom reservoir, an accumulator, and an air purge device. The system was designed for a c-arm application.

Custom Ambient Cooling System for Medical Laser An OEM needed a cooling system for its dermatological laser. The 500W laser cooling system, which also had to fit within a tight space, required a custom pump, a custom tank, a deionization cartridge, and solenoid valves that controlled coolant flow (on/off) to a four loop system.

Modular Cooling System for MRI Like most custom cooling systems that Lytron builds, this ambient cooling system was built-to-specification for a large medical equipment manufacturer. It uses two standard heat exchangers and has a long-life centrifugal pump.
