Liquid-to-liquid cooling systems can be designed and manufactured to OEMs demanding thermal and mechanical specifications.

When a large amount of heat needs to be removed and chilled facility water is available, a liquid-to-liquid cooling system may be the solution. A standard liquid-to-liquid cooling system has a high-efficiency counterflow heat exchanger, tight temperature control (±0.5°C), and cooling capacities up to 20 kW. However, Lytron's engineering team can customize a liquid-to-liquid cooling system to meet an OEM's particular needs.

Skinless Liquid-to-Liquid Cooling System

A customer had a total heat load of 25 kW and access to facility water. They needed to cool four independent heat sources and wanted the cooling system integrated into their machine. Lytron provided a fully engineered skinless liquid-to-liquid cooling system that included integrated temperature and pressure sensors and was designed for serviceability.

Liquid-to-Liquid Cooling System for Medical Imaging Equipment

An OEM needed a liquid-to-liquid cooling system for medical imaging equipment. Lytron designed and engineered this custom cooling system that contains four separate cooling loops, three liquid cooling and one air cooling, all managed by the cooling system controller.

Liquid-to-Liquid Cooling System for Medical Equipment

Lytron designed to specification this liquid-to-liquid cooling system to meet the needs of a large international medical equipment manufacturer. The cooling system has custom dimensions, a custom controller, a deionization cartridge, an external filter, a pressure gauge, and many other features. It was engineered to fit seamlessly into the manufacturer’s medical equipment and designed for serviceability.

Lytron designed and manufactured a custom liquid-to-liquid cooling system for datacenter cooling. The cooling system has 150 kW of cooling capacity and provides coolant at tightly controlled temperatures for rack cooling. It also has redundant pumps and a RS232 controller.

Not Your Average Liquid-to-Liquid Cooling System

Although this cooling system might look like a standard, it's actually a custom. This liquid-to-liquid cooling system has a custom controller with monitoring features not available with the standard controller packages. There are also flow control valves on both the process and facility side loops.

Pump Stand Liquid-to-Liquid Cooling System

An OEM needed a large, custom liquid-to-liquid cooling system for cooling medical equipment. Shown here is the backside of the liquid-to-liquid cooling system that Lytron designed and manufactured for the customer. The cooling system has a completely custom configuration and many custom components, including a variable frequency drive for quiet operation and precise flow control.

Rack Mount Cooling System

A large US-based manufacturer needed a rack mount liquid-to-liquid cooling system that could maintain a process water temperature of 25°C (± 5°C) on a critical section of its manufacturing line. The customer's application required 2.5kW of cooling. Lytron's standard LCS’s are not available in a rack mount configuration, however, Lytron's standard Modular Cooling Systems (MCS™) are. So Lytron's engineers started with a standard MCS rack mount design and added LCS components that would best meet the customer's needs. Lytron reduced the footprint of the standard LCS cooling system by utilizing smaller components that provided less cooling than the standard LCS, but provided more than enough cooling for the customer's application. The engineering team also added a temperature control valve that was accessible through a removable panel, thus eliminating the need for a temperature display and some electronics.
