The CP15 cold plate is our highest performing tubed cold plate. Components can be mounted on both sides of this compact and lightweight cold plate, making it ideal for applications where heat loads are moderate and space is at a premium.
Superior performance - 40% to 50% better than conventional tubed cold plates: The CP15’s small (0.25˝/6.4 mm) tube diameter results in higher fluid velocities and improved thermal mixing, which leads to better performance. The close tube spacing also increases performance and offers more uniform cooling. Lytron’s proprietary epoxy-free Press-Lock process mechanically locks the tube into the channeled aluminum extrusion, further enhancing thermal performance.
Thin and lightweight: The CP15 cold plate is only 0.3˝ (7.6 mm) thick—40% thinner and lighter than standard tubed cold plates. This compact size saves valuable system real estate, enabling tighter packaging configurations and stack constructions.
Dual-sided mounting: The tube is coplanar with the plate for dual-sided mounting. The tube side of the cold plate provides better performance as the copper tubes are in direct contact with the component being cooled.
Water compatible: The copper fluid path is compatible with water and most other common coolants.
Standard cold plates can be purchased from our distributors. Lytron also accepts standard cold plate orders from OEMs for 10 or more cold plates and/or for prototyping purposes.
