Standard tubed CP12 cold plates are high performance and have copper tubes with dual-sided mounting.
The CP12 cold plate is a dual-sided aluminum cold plate with copper tubes. The cold plate offers high performance and a large mounting area. Its epoxy-free construction results in 30% better performance than other similar sized cold plates.
High performance: The CP12 cold plate is manufactured using Lytron’s proprietary Press-Lock technology, which mechanically locks the tube into a channeled aluminum extrusion. This eliminates the need for performance-limiting epoxy and provides superior thermal performance by ensuring good heat transfer between the tube and the plate. The 3⁄8˝ (9.5 mm) diameter of the tubing minimizes the pressure drop across the plate.
Dual-sided mounting: The tube is coplanar with the plate to allow dual-sided mounting. The cold plate's tube side offers superior performance as the copper tubes are in direct contact with the component being cooled.
Reliable and leak-free: The cold plate's cooling circuit is a 4-pass single copper tube with no joints, making it reliable and leak-free.
Water compatible: The copper fluid path of the cold plate is compatible with water and most other common coolants.
