Our engineers have the knowledge and tools necessary to meet the thermal and mechanical challenges of some of the world’s most demanding applications. Since 1958, we’ve designed thousands of custom components and systems. Our experienced engineering team provides expert design, analysis, verification, and prototype development. Lytron’s engineers serve as an extension of your engineering team, offering expertise in design as well as manufacturing.

Our design engineers select the best technology and design a solution to fit the thermal and size requirements. We use our extensive experience in thermal performance, material compatibility, and fluid dynamics to optimize designs. We also use cutting edge proprietary simulation software based on empirical data to perform advanced thermal analysis, as well as use other tools such as CFD and structural analysis software as necessary. Lytron designs hundreds of new parts each year, and uses the performance data collected during these designs to continuously improve the accuracy of our thermal and fluid dynamics models. Lytron can also validate and verify proposed designs using its extensive engineering laboratory and strategic suppliers.

In addition to providing expert thermal design, our engineers also ensure that all products are designed-for-manufacturability. Production/manufacturing engineers consult with thermal engineers early in the design phase. Our engineers utilize concurrent engineering to balance thermal and mechanical performance requirements with cost, delivery, and quality requirements. This team approach allows Lytron to quickly transition prototypes into production.
