Coolant Distribution Unit Options

Option Benefit
Dual modulating valves  Incorporates a second modulating valve. In the unlikely event of a failure, the controller automatically switches over to the redundant valve. The controller allows the user to define the frequency and duaration of the valve testing.
80 Mesh coolant filter Filters on both the primary and secondary side loops.Protects LCS50 and customer's equipment from blockage or damage due to particulate buildup and extends pump life. Filters can be cleaned while the unit is running.
Internal insulation package Insulated tank, pump head, and coolant lines. Eliminates condensation on secondary coolant loop components when operating the LCS50 below the dew point.

Controller Option Functionality Controller Package

Control to set point Allows user to define temperature set point and unit will control coolant delivery temperature to ±1°C.  x   x  x  x
Control set point temperature based on dew point Allows the user to input dew point offset so that the coolant temperature will fluctuate based on the dew
point temperature.
   x     x
Control set point based on fixed temperature
with user defined dew point override
Allows user to input set point temperature and a minimum dew point offset. If the set point temperature is
above the dew point offset range, the LCS50 will deliver coolant at the set point temperature.
If the set point temperature is within the dew point offset range, the LCS50 will deliver coolant
based on dew point until it can return to temperature set point control.
      x    x
Control to volume flow or differential pressure
Allows user to select volume flow set point or pressure differential set point.  x   x  x  x
Temperature, flow, pressure and modulating
valve status reporting
Displays the current secondary coolant temperature, flow and pressure, and the current position of the
modulating valve.
Heat Load Removed Displays heat load that the unit is currently removing. x  x  x  x
RS232 Communication Allows monitoring of current status and all alarms via RS232. x   x  x  x
Ethernet communication Allows monitoring of current status and all alarms via Ethernet.       x  x
Alarms for low/high temperature, low flow,
low differential pressure
Alerts user that the parameter is outside of the user defined limits. x   x  x  x
Pump failure alarm Alerts user of a pump failure. System automatically switches over to the secondary pump. x   x  x  x
Power failure alarm Alerts user of a power failure. System automatically switches over to the secondary power feed. x  x  x  x
Component usage hours Alerts user that the pumps, valve(s) (optional), and strainers (optional) have run for more than the user
defined hours and preventative maintenance is required.
Security protection Allows user to lock-out controller set up menu. x   x  x  x
Backup testing Allows the user to define the frequency and duration of the pump and valve (optional) testing. x   x  x  x
Event tracking Provides user with last 20 alarms/component switch over and the date and time the alarm occured and was cleared. x   x  x  x
Power Recovery Delay Allows the user to define unit start up delay on power switch over. Unit contains a battery backup to keep the
controller (only) powered during a power switch over so the unit is immediately functional
after the power delay period.
Primary side mounting Additional instrumentation to monitor primary coolant loop. Provides temperature and flow monitoring of primary
coolant loop and facilitates troubleshooting.
