Copper Cold Plate

Lytron has several large-area, copper performance-fin cold plate technologies. Their ultra-high performance makes them ideal for moderate-to-high heat load applications. All of Lytron’s copper cold plates are custom designed to meet each application’s specific requirements. The internal fluid path, individual channel configuration and dimensions, as well as overall dimensions, fittings, and mounting features are carefully selected.

Excellent performance: All of Lytron’s copper cold plates contain micro-channels to optimize performance. This, together with the all-copper construction, results in ultra-low thermal resistance. The cooling fluid flows below the entire surface of the cold plate, resulting in excellent thermal uniformity across the mounting area.

Low pressure drop: Although the channels are very small, the liquid flows through many channels simultaneously, resulting in a low pressure drop.

Highly reliable and leak-free: Lytron’s proprietary manufacturing process results in a 100% metallurgical bond between the copper plates, guaranteeing that the cold plate is reliable and leak-free.

Water compatible: The cold plate's all-copper construction make it compatible with water and a wide range of other coolants.
