New Ambient Cooling Systems offer 50% Noise Reduction
June 29, 2004, Woburn, MA: Lytron has launched new versions of its MCS40 and MCS50 modular cooling systems. These updated versions of the popular ambient cooling systems offer several benefits over earlier models including significant noise reduction, improved performance, a coolant level indicator, and ETL and CE approval.
The noise output of the MCS40 has been reduced from 69dB to 62dB and the MCS50 from 73dB to 64dB - a perceived noise reduction of almost 50%. A sight glass has been added to the front of the cooling system to enable easy monitoring of coolant level. A new, more robust tank has been installed and both products are now ETL listed and CE approved. These improvements, a result of Lytron's policy of continuous product development, have been made with no increase in price to the customer.
The MCS40 and MCS50 offer cost-effective ambient cooling in a portable modular package. They are ideally suited for cooling high heat applications that do not require refrigerated cooling or precise temperature control. The MCS40 is suitable for heat loads up to 2.4kW and the MCS50 can be used for heat loads up to 3.5kW. Smaller versions in the range are also available for lower cooling capacity requirements. All Lytron's modular cooling systems can be customized for OEM applications.
