Auto-Restart Now Available on Kodiak™ Recirculating Chillers from Lytron
September 30, 2001, Woburn, MA - Lytron, the Total Thermal Solutions™ company, announces that Auto-Restart is now a standard feature on its Kodiak™ recirculating chillers.
"Customers have asked us to incorporate Auto-Restart into our Kodiak model," says Charlie Carswell, Lytron's president. "As a company that encourages and values customer feedback, we adopted their suggestion and engineered it into our standard product. The feature is included on the basic controller package and allows the user to determine how the chiller will function after a power outage; this provides our customers with the flexibility to customize the chiller operation to their application."
With Auto-Restart, the user can choose whether the Kodiak chiller will start up after a power outage or interruption. When there is a power outage because of a tripped circuit breaker, rolling blackout or other cause, both the chiller and the equipment it cools will shut down. With Auto-Restart, if the equipment starts up when power is restored, the user can set the chiller to restart also. If Auto-Restart is off, the chiller must be manually restarted when the power is restored. Enabling or disabling Auto-Restart takes just a few keystrokes on the Kodiak chiller's convenient, ergonomically designed control panel.
Lytron offers Kodiak recirculating chillers in a range of cooling capacities from 600 to 4500 watts. Standard versions provide +/- 0.1oC temperature stability and can use common coolants such as tap water and EGW mixtures. They feature temperature and pressure displays, and low flow sensing. The available options include deionized water capability, a variety of pumps, enhanced filtration, alarms, fault relay, and an RS232 interface. Kodiak chillers are covered by a two-year warranty, and Lytron provides expert 24/7 telephone support.
