Lytron Inc. Offers Custom Plate-Fin Heat Exchangers

March, 2000, Woburn, MA - Lytron Incorporated offers custom plate-fin heat exchangers for applications which require ultra-high efficiency, compact size and lightweight components such as military and aerospace applications. These all-aluminum plate-fin heat exchangers can be custom-designed in a counter, crossflow or parallel configuration for any combination of gas, liquid, and two-phase fluids. They can handle proof pressures up to 750 psi.

Lytron's plate-fin heat exchangers consist of finned chambers separated by flat plates and are circuited in alternating hot and cold fluid passages. Heat is transferred via high performance fins in the passageways, through the separator plate and into the cold fluid via fin once again. Core assemblies are fluxless vacuum-brazed for absolute cleanliness and complete metallurgical bonding between fins and separator plates. This construction insures optimal thermal performance and high reliability.
