Design Improvements on Aspen™ Heat Exchangers
February, 2000 - Lytron Inc., the Total Thermal Solutions™ company, announces further design improvements to return loops on its Aspen™ stainless steel heat exchangers. The new loops are orbital welded to improve the unit's cleanliness, appearance and pressure drop. The economical Aspen series was engineered for ultra-clean operation, making it ideal for laser applications, which require extremely high purity water, or for applications which use corrosive liquids.
Charles Carswell, Lytron's president said, "As an expert in metal joining, Lytron has introduced the first orbital welded heat exchanger. This technology provides improved product cleanliness, appearance and pressure drop. Our engineering staff revolutionized stainless steel heat exchangers with Aspen's first design and now Lytron rises the bar again.
"Matching the air and fluid capacities optimized the thermal performance of the Aspen heat exchangers. The new design allows for reduced weight, lower air and liquid side pressure drop, and improved internal cleanliness. Aspen's redesigned liquid side returns eliminate trapped particles, which can contaminate the cooling fluid. To ensure the integrity of the cooling fluid, the Aspen Series is manufactured without contaminating lubricants. Additionally, the Aspen Series is easier to construct so the savings are passed on the customer.
Six standard sizes are stocked and ready for immediate shipment. For OEM applications, Lytron's engineering department can develop cost-effective cooling solutions using our world-class Aspen technology.
Lytron is the only ISO 9001-certified Total Thermal Solutions™ provider. ISO certification provides the assurance these liquid-cooling products are defect-free and able to provide years of reliable, leak-tight service.
