Sales Applications Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer (BSME or BSChE required) with strong oral and written communication and people skills as well as the ability to multi-task, work-independently, and make decisions who wants to eventually move into a sales role.

The primary responsibilities include

  • Acting as a technical resource to customers, distributors and the field sales force, answer questions and address and resolve any problems.
  • Helping end users size and select the best Lytron product for their application.
  • Managing existing mid-level customers in an established territory.
  • Assisting sales staff qualify opportunities, generate quotes and proposals, and manage prototype process.
  • Following up with customers on quotations.
  • Managing 8D analysis as requested.
  • Working with marketing on the website and literature to improve technical content and overall technical experience.
  • Performing low level design activities.
  • Following up on leads as needed.
  • Maintaining and improving technical competency, staying current with changes in the industry.

A minimum of five years of experience in a technical area with customer contact is required and broad industry knowledge is desirable. Working knowledge of heat transfer is a plus. 5% travel. Must be a US Citizen or have valid authorization to work in the USA. No VISA sponsorship available.
