PLANNER/SCHEDULER I

Lytron, a manufacturer of heat exchangers, cooling systems, and re-circulating chillers for commercial, industrial and military applications. Has an immediate opening for a Production Planner/Scheduler I, due to growth of the Company. In this position you will be responsible for planning and executing supply chain requirements to support various product lines and their business goals.

This role will assist in the preparation, revision and issuance of production plans and schedules for a particular product line(s). Will work closely with engineering, production, and sales departments to plan and schedule work. Sets production plans by determining labor and plant capacity needed to meet production schedules and ensure raw materials are available to fulfill order requirements.

Skills/Experience:

The successful candidate must have:

  • The desire to work within a Production team environment with a strong sense of personal and team responsibility and energy to succeed and learn new techniques and ideas.
  • An understanding or experience with the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives such as kanban and other visual ordering systems, kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, root cause analysis techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong team and analytical skills and a willingness to resolve issues.
  • One to five years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing company, which includes buying transactions and planning transactions utilizing an MRP system.
  • Proficient in MS Office with a solid knowledge of Excel.
