Director of Marketing

Lytron is a market leader in the design and manufacture of liquid cooling solutions for the medical, semiconductor and aerospace markets. We are located in Woburn, MA and are looking for an energetic person to lead our marketing team as Director of Marketing, reporting to the CEO.

Job Description

As the Marketing Director you will be responsible for creating innovative marketing strategies that will build our brand, leading to increased revenue, market penetration and customer awareness. Our ideal candidate possesses tremendous communication and leadership skills, with proven success in traditional and innovative campaigns across the broad spectrum of today’s marketing channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic thinking: Utilize market research, customer insights and competitive intelligence to identify market gaps and growth opportunities. Leverage knowledge and business acumen to influence new products and partnership strategies. Use this intelligence to develop leadership positioning and create impactful marketing programs.
  • Value Proposition and Brand: Using a combination of strategic market and customer insight and competitive understanding work with engineering, sales, and Lytron leadership to develop differentiated value propositions that build our reputation and brand in specific market verticals.
  • Create and execute the go-to-market strategy for new and existing products and services globally. Develop and implement short and long range market specific strategies and programs including sales channels, partnerships, and acquisitions that provide strategic business opportunities.
  • Manage all aspects of market research, including competitive monitoring, customer surveys, market planning, development of marketing media and advertising.
  • Create and implement marketing communication plan to achieve corporate goals, generate leads, drive revenue, increase market share, and achieve optimal brand awareness. Approve and direct the development of all advertising and promotional programs, including trade shows and the website.
  • Monitor industry pricing trends and pricing competitiveness in the marketplace. Provide direction to management in formulating knowledgeable pricing and profit margin decisions. Ensure pricing effectiveness to increase business while maximizing profitability potential.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record in developing and implementing marketing strategies and plans in previous B2B setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in at least two of the medical, semiconductor or aerospace markets.
  • Strong team player possessing excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • BS in Engineering or related technical field. MBA desirable
  • 10-12 years of experience marketing technical products with demonstrated success.
  • US Citizen or authorized to work in the USA
