Database Management Administrator

Lytron a manufacturer of thermally engineered products, conveniently located in Woburn has a new opportunity for a Database Management Administrator. In this newly created position, we are seeking a candidate to assist in the day to day management of our PLM and EPDM databases involving engineering CAD data, item master, NPI and product level information.

Other key data management tasks will also include:

  • Diagnose and address system problems at user and system level
  • Develop custom reports and search routines to improve process efficiency
  • Assist with program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
  • Tests database interactions with ERP
  • Manage RoHS and REACH compliance data

Document Management:

  • Review and release ECN according to Lytron procedures
  • Review and release drawings and documents according to Lytron procedures

Cross Functional Support

  • Assist colleagues outside of engineering-manufacturing, quality, service and sales with PLM elements

The ideal candidate will possess good judgment in making decisions, take initiative and independent action based on the situation, apply logic and sound reasoning to determine facts and root cause, communicate effectively (written and orally), be a creative, thinker, team player and have attention to detail adhering to the highest standards of integrity.

Education and experience:

Minimum- Associates Degree with 2-5 years’ experience, basic computer skills-MS-Windows-Access and Excel. Basic understanding of product documentation in a manufacturing environment and SQL database programming.

Desired- BA, BS Computer Science with 5+ years’ experience, Knowledge of PLM (Autodesk Fusion Lifecyle) and ERP software, JavaScript Programming, Jitterbit Programming, PostgreSQL and knowledge of Industry Material Compliance Standards.
